“The chairman, Umaru Nyanzi, has set his sights on guiding Lyantonde Football Club to reach the highest division in football in the coming seasons. He expressed his passion for this goal, emphasizing that his return to the club is solely driven by his love for football, without any political motivations.
Nyanzi’s ultimate objective is to elevate Lyantonde to the top-flight division, and he is determined to ensure that the local talents from Lyantonde gain international recognition. He stated, “I am here to ensure that the talents we have in Lyantonde get the exposure they deserve on the global stage.”
Currently, the team is under the leadership of Hakim Nsibambi, with Godfrey Katerega and Alex Mubiru serving as the first and second assistants, respectively.
In the upcoming season of the Buganda Regional League, Lyantonde will be competing in the Katonga Group.”
